About the Program

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the United States E.P.A. and the U.S. Department of Energy. This program is helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient practices and products. The ENERGY STAR logo is the national symbol for energy efficiency in the United States. Over 50 types of products plus thousands of new homes and commercial-industrial facilities have earned the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance.

What makes a new home a qualified ENERGY STAR home?

Good news! We're Green at Atlantis Homes; we sell ENERGY STAR qualified new homes. Some models also come with ENERGY STAR appliances. To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to a 2004 IRC standard. Any home three stories or less can earn the ENERGY STAR label if it has been verified to meet EPA's guidelines, including manufactured homes and systems-built homes. View ENERGY STAR Homes in Delaware!

ENERGY STAR Appliances

ENERGY STAR qualified appliances incorporate advanced technologies that use 10–50% less energy and water than standard models.  They are available from major retailers in our area such as: Ace Hardware, Best Buy, The Home Depot, Lowes, Sam's Club, Sears, and Wal-Mart.
